Jon Paul Moody

In 2001, Jon Paul Moody of Harvest Outdoor Ministries traveled to Kansas City, Missouri, and won the Hunter Division World Championship of the NRA Great American Game Calling Challenge. "It's the Super Bowl of game calling," says Jim Zumbo, renowned outdoor personality and judge of the contest. Contestants are required to call seven different species consisting of Canada goose, wild turkey, barred owl, elk, mallard duck, whitetail deer, and coyote/predator. Callers are required to perform a ninety-second calling routine in all seven species. This contest is the only one of its kind. Contestants were judged on control, realism accuracy, volume, and creativity. In June 2005 Jon Paul and his calling partner Mark Prudhomme won the NRA Great American Game Calling Challenge World Championship in the Team Calling Division. Moody and Rusty Farmer, the men of Harvest Outdoor Ministries, are dedicated to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the platform of hunting and the outdoors. They are certified Tennessee Hunter Education instructors. These educational courses provide an incredible opportunity to present the Gospel. The team also provides the entertainment and spiritual challenge for "Wild Game Suppers,” and sportsman seminars. Crowds enjoy the team’s video footage and fascinating calling demonstrations. Moody and Farmer also offer a variety of guided hunts. Each of these ministry opportunities provides an incredible way to minister to individuals that may not otherwise be reached.
